Last year we did a lot of updating on our house and it got rave reviews but 1 thing that was still missing was a 2nd bathroom. Not anymore!
This lovely farmhouse is over 100 years old and our contractor thinks parts of it may be closer to 200 years old. When we bought it there was no heat or plumbing at all on the 2nd floor. Last year we tackled the heat but did not have time to deal with a bathroom. After some very careful space planning, we found a way to add a nice sized bathroom without losing a bedroom!
This involved making Bedroom #1 a little cozier but it is still a nice size. Bedroom #1 and Bedroom #2 now share a Jack and Jill bathroom (it is accessible from both bedrooms). We worked hard to make sure the finishes work with the character of the house. The amazing Marble topped vanity and mirror are thrift store finds that we updated with fresh paint and a vessel sink. We paired clean white subway tile with an elegant marble mosaic floor and added some beadboard and shiplap for lots of texture.
We really wanted to make it look like this beautiful bathroom was always here! What do you think????
